Instability of bubble expansion at zero temperature

چکیده
In the context of false vacuum decay at zero temperature, it is well known that bubbles expand with uniform proper acceleration. We show this uniformly accelerating expansion suffers from an instability related to bubble size. This can be observed in Minkowski spacetime as a tachyonic mode spectrum fluctuations for energy functional reference frame which wall appears static. such frame, arbitrary small perturbations cause amplifying departure static solution. implies nucleated not critical point rest nucleation but becomes one frame. The aforementioned well-known during finite-temperature phase transitions plasma. It therefore proposed zero-temperature decays seen frames have dual description terms transitions.

Bubble Expansion at the End of Inflation
S.G.Rubin Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, Center for Cosmoparticle Physics ”Cosmion” ABSTRACT A dynamic of a false vacuum decay is investigated at the end of inflation. It is shown that a creation of a new phase is mainly stimulated by temperature fluctuations. Colliding walls of O(3) symmetrical bubbles interact weakly with surrounding that leads to large field fluctuations. INTRODUCTION...
متن کاملDecoherence at zero temperature
Most discussions of decoherence in the literature consider the high temperature regime but it is also known that, in the presence of dissipation, decoherence can occur even at zero temperature. Whereas most previous investigations all assumed initial decoupling of the quantum system and bath, we consider that the system and environment are entangled at all times. Here, we discuss decoherence fo...
متن کاملChaotic temperature dependence at zero temperature
We present a class of examples of nearest-neighbour, bounded-spin models, in which the low-temperature Gibbs measures do not converge as the temperature is lowered to zero, in any dimension.
متن کاملEntanglement energetics at zero temperature.
We show how many-body ground state entanglement information may be extracted from subsystem energy measurements at zero temperature. Generically, the larger the measured energy fluctuations are, the larger the entanglement is. Examples are given with the two-state system and the harmonic oscillator. Comparisons made with recent qubit experiments show that this type of measurement provides anoth...
متن کاملBubble Wall Dynamics at Finite Temperature {
Cosmological phase transitions may have played important roles in shaping the present Universe. If the transition is of the rst order, it proceeds with the nucleation of new-phase bubbles and their growth. The details of the bubble dynamics can aaect the consequencies of the phase transition. For example, baryogenesis in the course of the electroweak phase transition is known to depend on the b...
